2016 Resilience Team - Week 9

This week, we are trying to shift our course. After discussing our Boelter Hall rain harvesting system idea with various stakeholders, we found out that they are very supportive of our idea and suggest us to expand our project from building a 5000-gallon cistern to a 1million gallon one. We understand that maximizing the scale of our project would significantly help UCLA reach its target to utilize 100% of its local water by 2050; yet, we have to scale down our project or think of other designs of our cistern to cut down costs. Anyways, we are hopeful that we would get funding in the future to pioneer this groundbreaking project in UCLA.
