This week we finally got to do some hands-on air quality testing in Wooden! We completed our first at night testing with our grad student Charlene. She brought us two different types of air-testers: one for carbon and one for particulate matter. We started in the Blue Room and continued onto the Administrative Offices, Raquetball Court, Yates Gym, Collins Court, Pardee Gym, and finally the Cardio Zone room. The testing took about 20 minutes for each room so we had a lot of down time, but the readings were quick and easy! We will continue with two more days of testing – in the morning and in the afternoon to complete our full air quality audit of Wooden, which will give us some great data on how it holds up against air quality standards.
