2016 Biodiversity Team - Week 5

This week we ran into some obstacles trying to buy native plants for our experiment on Sage Hill. Unfortunately, this takes us a bit off schedule, but not all is lost! In the meantime, we were able narrow down the different combinations that we're interested in studying. Right now we're looking at comparing mixed sage species and mixed diverse species in 24 plots, with four plants per square meter. We plan on initiating preliminary data collection this Thursday and Friday! Part of these initial measurements will be using Pitfall or Malaise traps to study the insect community. Despite a few hiccups, things are looking good!
