As the end of the quarter is quickly approaching, we are slowly beginning to compile our data and analyze if our campaign was effective to the UCLA community. On Monday, we will have all the numbers, so by next week we should have a good idea of how effective our “Take the Stairs” campaign was. Regardless of the outcome, we hope that it raised awareness and convinced at least a couple people to change their routine.
In a few hours UCLA’s bike powered concert will be taking place. ESLP’s very own Team Energy is responsible for recording the energy produced by bruin bikers. Although last year’s Team Energy recorded the measurement every minute, with input from our stakeholder, we have decided that recording the measurements every five minutes instead would suffice. Our team of five will be taking turns recording the data with 30-minute shifts. Our team members will also most likely participate in the biking portion of the event. We are so excited to team up with E3 on raising awareness about the wonder of what renewable energy can do. We hope that the data we collect with be useful for next year’s event and be a good source of comparison to last year’s data.
