ACTION RESEARCH TEAMS
Students are encouraged to take what they learned about global issues in the fall Lecture Series and apply it on a local level to UCLA's sustainability issues. Students, faculty, and administration are matched up based on mutual sustainability interests and collaboratively pursue projects leading to some brilliantly successful sustainable progress.
Teams in the past have worked in areas such as eco-friendly landscaping, waste stream management, and sustainable food practices. ART is a truly campus-wide outreach; teams are working with the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center as well as the UCLA Recreation and Transportation Departments with the full support of ASUCLA and grants from The Green Initiative Fund.

Teams are made up of two student leaders, three or four student members, and one or two UCLA faculty or staff as stakeholders. ART Teams are a 2 and 3-unit class for members and leaders, respectively.
